# Early Access

OX Early Access lets you try new OX capabilities before they become available to all users, without committing to the new experience. You can switch back to the previous experience at any time by disabling an early access capability.

Early Access settings are personal. Changes you make apply only to your OX user and do not affect other users in your organization.

## Enable early access capabilities

You can enable all early access capabilities or select individual capabilities.

The Early Access window displays the capabilities currently available for early access. You can turn each capability On or Off individually.

You can view and manage the capabilities currently available for early access from your account menu.

When enabling early access, the change takes effect immediately.

**To open Early Access:**

1. In the upper-right corner of OX, select your avatar.
2. Select **Early Access**.

3. Enable **Early Access** as follows.

Other early access capabilities remain disabled unless you enable them separately.</td></tr></tbody></table>

The change takes effect immediately.

4. Alternatively, enable a capability from its [early access popup](#use-the-early-access-popup).

## Use the early access popup

When a new capability becomes available for early access, OX can display a popup next to the relevant area of the platform.

For example, when the new filters bar is available for early access, the popup appears next to the filters on the Active Issues page.

| Option            | Description                                                                                                                          | Popup behavior                                                                                                    |
| ----------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Show me | Enables the capability immediately and switches you to the new experience. The corresponding toggle in Early Access is also enabled. | The popup does not appear again for this capability. |
| Not now | Keeps the current experience without enabling the capability. | The popup can appear again in your next session. |
| Do not show again | Keeps the current experience without enabling the capability. | The popup does not appear again for this capability. Popups for other early access capabilities can still appear. |

If you dismiss the popup, you can still enable the capability later from Early Access in your account menu.

## Disable an early access capability

You can disable an early access capability at any time and return to the previous experience. You can enable or disable it again at any time.

Early access capabilities can eventually become the default OX experience for all users. The Early Access window indicates when a capability becomes generally available.

To disable an early access capability:

1. In the upper-right corner of OX, select your avatar.
2. Select **Early Access**.
3. Disable the toggle for the capability.

   OX returns to the previous experience immediately.

## Currently available early access capabilities

The following capabilities are currently available through Early Access:

| Capability      | Description                                                                                                                                                                    | Availability                                                         |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.ox.security/admin-settings/early-access.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
