# OX Code Inventory

OX Code Inventory provides a centralized view of the software assets that make up your applications and software supply chain. It helps you understand what you have, where it is used, and how the different components are connected.

OX builds and maintains these inventories based on data collected during scans and from your connected development environment.

Use the different inventory views depending on the type of asset you want to investigate:

| Inventory                                                  | Description                                                                                                                                            |
| ---------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| [Applications](/ox-code/ox-code-inventory/applications.md) | View and investigate the applications monitored by OX, including their associated repositories, components, and security information. |
| [SBOM](/ox-code/ox-code-inventory/sbom.md) | View the software components and dependencies identified across your applications, including package, version, license, and vulnerability information. |
| [Artifact BOM](/ox-code/ox-code-inventory/artifact-bom.md) | View the components contained in built artifacts, such as container images, and understand what is included in the software you distribute or deploy. |
| [API BOM](/ox-code/ox-code-inventory/api-bom.md) | View APIs identified across your applications to understand your API inventory and where APIs are defined and used. |
| [SaaS BOM](/ox-code/ox-code-inventory/saas-bom.md) | View third-party SaaS services identified in your environment to understand the external services your applications rely on. |

Select an inventory to explore its assets, filter and investigate the collected information, and access additional details for individual items.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.ox.security/ox-code/ox-code-inventory.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
